A brand new scan of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z has been released from Shonen Jump. It focuses on the Z Warriors’ genki power! As you may note, there is a huge meter labeled “Genki” in some of the screenshots within the scan. The word genki in Japanese means health, vigor, or energy. In Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, the genki meter fills up by attacking your opponent, particularly with team attacks. One might think of it was raising your spirits by successfully connecting attacks with the enemy! When the meter is at it’s max, a battling-influencing super power is activated.
Aside from the genki meter is the ki meter (located next to the character’s icon and under the health meter). This is used to launch ki-based attacks such as the Kamehameha, like in all of the past DBZ games. One unique feature im Battle of Z is players can share ki with their teammates, just like in the show!
